This is not your typical bath! The idea is to set up a space to get some uninterrupted, intentional self time. If your soul calls to water, you're going to love this. No matter what your space looks like, you will feel the benefits from this kind of soak if you follow the guidelines below.
A few things before we dive in:
Setting an intention will give you exactly what you need. Eg. Quiet the mind, feel grounded, gain clarity (To have a clearer intention, you can pull a card (Tarot/Oracle) prior to stepping in).
Another important factor, stick to the natural stuff. No bath bombs, no scented body wash or hair products. And third, if you're using aromas like scented candles or essential oils, make sure you trust in the quality.
Here's a step by step outline of how to set up a little oasis for your soak:
Run the bath
Temperature is an important factor here; I prefer it hot enough that it takes a minute or two for me to fully submerge, but not so hot that I can't stand in it. I recommend checking the temperature half way through the fill so you can adjust if needed.
Fill the tub to capacity (careful to consider overflow when you get in) **At your own risk: in theory...if your overflow hardware sits very low in the tub you could temporarily plug the gaps with cotton pads or flip it upside down so the gaps are above your desired water level.
disclaimer: DO NOT LEAVE A RUNNING BATH OR BURNING CANDLES UNATTENDED
Clear your space (5 - 10 min)
Set your space - Music
Set your space - Crystals
