Are your scars visible or are they under the surface? We all have imperfections. The physical ones we tend to worry most about (I would say about 90% of the time people can't see them or don't even notice). Yet we can be so suppressive about the imperfections that we can go through mentally and emotionally. Truly non-verbal about our fear, worry, anxiety, doubt, or shame. If these things were imperfections on our body, visible to others - would it change the way you deal with them? Would you change something? Imagine for a moment if guilt became something attached to the outside of your body. Knowing you could change it by facing the fear, wouldn't you? Wouldn't you willingly work to correct it because it's so obvious it's not meant to be there? If you didn't, how long would it take for you be frustrated when people would use that imperfection to identify you? If it's something you're proud of, OWN IT! If it's something you make fun of yourself for and don't believe you're capable of change...that's a different story. I'm here to tell you, all of these low-vibes can be released. It's not a scar, it's not a part of you. And if you want to shed it, it's something you can shed.
Take a moment and reflect; did you ever use socialization to distract yourself from truths or surround yourself with others that had similar 'imperfections' so it felt like yours was social acceptable and that, well, "it just is what it is"? At the moment we have limited social interactions and we are currently forced to live with the discomfort of our flaws - mentally, emotionally, or physically. We can choose to accept and confront these things so we can expand and stop playing small because of them. Or we can let guilt and shame to fester, allowing our self-worth to lie in these things, using them as reasons and excuses why we cannot change.
I'm NOT talking about the things that make us beautiful. I'm NOT talking about the things that we may not LIKE. Those pieces of us are part of our journey and make us unique. In fact, a lot of things we may not appreciate are the KEY to unlocking our full authentic selves and are the catalyst to others awakening as well.
I'm talking about the things that hold you back (you already know what they are and what does not belong).
I am talking about these things that pile up more conditioning; we're not good enough the way we are, and the attaching to things that DON'T define who we are.
For example, fear was helpful at one point, when you first felt it. It was there to protect you, keep you safe. But emotions are only meant to last for 90 seconds in the body before you naturally release it. So if you've been holding onto it for far too long, it's time to let that shit go!
I see you, I honour you, I witness you.
